Founded in 1959, listed on Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1984, Johnson Electric is a global leader in the design, development and delivery of micro-motor and integrated motor systems. Johnson products are used in a variety of customer and business production applications, including Automobile Components, Power Tools, Business Equipment & Personal Products, and Multimedia & Auto-visual Products.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, Johnson Electric employs over 40,000 people in 20 countries worldwide, including contract manufacturing employees. Johnson Electric has technical support centers in Hong Kong, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Israel, China, Japan and US. The sub-contract sub-assembly work factory in Shenzhen was set up in 1982. It is one of the R&D center and the biggest manufacturing plant in the group.
